Public Invited to Help Name Former Six Flags Redevelopment in Prince George's County

WHAT: The development team behind the transformation of Prince George's County's former Six Flags site is inviting the broader community to help shape the future of the 515-acre property by voting for its new name.

Community members can cast their vote online by selecting their favorite from the following proposed names:

- The Ascend at Central Avenue - Symbolizes growth, progress, and opportunity, reflecting the site's vision for the future

- The Gathering - Captures the vision of a welcoming place where people can live, work, shop, dine, and come together

- The Foundry at Central - Draws on the idea of a foundry, where ideas, businesses, and communities are shaped to build something lasting

- The Axis at Central Avenue - Reflects the idea of an axis as a central point where people, businesses, and opportunities come together

- The Nexus at Central Avenue - Represents the convergence of community, commerce, culture, and innovation in one destination

WHO: A joint venture between 35V, the family office of Prince George’s County native Kevin Durant, and TPA Group.
